Rustic Cookies | Soft wheat flour type 2

Ingredients: (for about 15 biscuits)

  • 100 g of white sugar
  • 80 g of brown sugar
  • 110 g of soft butter
  • 150 g of Ruggeri type 2 flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt
  • 60g chopped dark chocolate (or drops)
  • 60g chopped milk chocolate (or drops)
  • 60 g chopped hazelnuts

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, a teaspoon of fine salt and the soft butter using a hand whisk.
  2. Add the whole egg and the orange peel. Sift the type 2 flour with the baking powder and add to the mixture gently. Finally, add the two chocolates and the hazelnuts (chopped).
  3. The mixture will be soft, cover the bowl with cling film and leave to cool in the fridge for an hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  5. Form the dough into balls (use a kitchen spoon to help yourself) and place them on the baking tray.
  6. Cook for 15 minutes (non-fan oven).
  7. Let the biscuits cool and serve them with some good cold almond coffee.
