Dark cherry crumble | Arifa Organic Flour

Recipe from " Friendly Kitchen "

Crumble scuro di ciliegie | Arifa Farina Bio

A "deconstructed" dessert , different from the usual, but with an incredible taste and sweetness. This dark crumble is very easy to prepare and is based on Arifa Farina Bio , a blend of organic flours ideal for all sweet and savory recipes.

Ingredients for 6 glasses

For the cherries:

  • 300 g of cherries
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1 scant tablespoon of fructose

For the crumble:

  • 120 g of Organic Arifa Flour
  • 80 g of butter at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar (or muscovado)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Dark crumble with Arifa procedure

For the cherries:

  • Wash the cherries, remove the stalks and stone them.
  • Place the fruit in a non-stick pan with the fructose and cook over low heat until the cherries - combined with the sugar - have produced a thick juice.
  • At this point turn off the heat and let it cool by covering the pan with a lid.

For the dark crumble:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with your hands.
  • Form crumbs, arrange them on a non-stick baking tray (or on a baking tray covered with baking paper) and bake in a preheated static oven at 170° for about ten minutes. The important thing is that the crumble is colored without burning, so you need to check it often so that it doesn't "escape".

Crumble composition

Arrange the cherries with a little of their juice on the bottom of small bowls or glasses, finish by putting a layer of crumble on the fruit. You can serve the dessert cold if it's hot... or warm if it's cold!
