Recipe from " True Love Recipes "
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 300 g of Arifa flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 50 g granulated sugar for filling
- 2 lemons zest + juice
- 1 pinch salt
- seed oil for frying
- 1 level teaspoon instant baking powder
Instructions
- Place the flour on a pastry board, in a fountain shape. Add the beaten eggs, 2 tablespoons of oil, a pinch of salt to the center and add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of instant yeast to the sides. Mix well, first with a fork, slowly incorporating the powders, and then with your hands, until you get a smooth dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes, covered with a cloth.
- Roll it out into a thin sheet, sprinkle with sugar and then with lemon zest. Then add the lemon juice and fold the sheet over itself (like tagliatelle). Make rolls of 1/2 cm thick each. Fry them in very hot oil. When they have reached a nice caramel color, drain them and let them cool. Serve them at the table.
