Chocolate cake

" Heart of Celery " Recipe
chocolatecake4 Ingredients for the dough :
  • 145 g of organic flour Arifa Ruggeri
  • 30 g of bitter cocoa
  • 110 g of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 ml of seed oil
  • 1/4 glass of milk
  • 1/2 sachet of vanilla baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon rum
Ingredients for the icing :
  • 80 g dark chocolate
  • 40 g of milk
  • a drop of glucose syrup
  • For decoration:
  • yellow sugar paste
  • flavored sugars
Procedure :
  1. Mix the granulated sugar with the eggs, whisk until the mixture becomes light and frothy.
  2. Add the oil, cocoa, milk, rum, flour and yeast.
  3. Mix carefully, then pour the mixture into the well-buttered and floured pudding mould.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, test with a toothpick to see if it's cooked.
  5. Prepare the icing by bringing the milk to the boil in a saucepan, add the glucose syrup, remove from the heat and melt the chopped chocolate inside. Leave to cool slightly, until it reaches the desired density. Cover the cake, placed on a wire rack.
  6. Once the icing has cooled and solidified, sprinkle with flavoured sugar sprinkles and decorate as desired with coloured sugar paste flowers.
