" Heart of Celery " Recipe
Ingredients for the dough :- 145 g of organic flour Arifa Ruggeri
- 30 g of bitter cocoa
- 110 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 50 ml of seed oil
- 1/4 glass of milk
- 1/2 sachet of vanilla baking powder
- 1 tablespoon rum
- 80 g dark chocolate
- 40 g of milk
- a drop of glucose syrup
- For decoration:
- yellow sugar paste
- flavored sugars
- Mix the granulated sugar with the eggs, whisk until the mixture becomes light and frothy.
- Add the oil, cocoa, milk, rum, flour and yeast.
- Mix carefully, then pour the mixture into the well-buttered and floured pudding mould.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, test with a toothpick to see if it's cooked.
- Prepare the icing by bringing the milk to the boil in a saucepan, add the glucose syrup, remove from the heat and melt the chopped chocolate inside. Leave to cool slightly, until it reaches the desired density. Cover the cake, placed on a wire rack.
- Once the icing has cooled and solidified, sprinkle with flavoured sugar sprinkles and decorate as desired with coloured sugar paste flowers.
