Sister Germana's Apple Pie is one of the many recipes that circulate about apple pies. The peculiarity of this one is that it is very rich in apples and little dough. The cake remains moist and scented of lemon. Extremely delicate and low in calories as the weight of the fruit is greater than the cake itself. Delicious hot, warm, cold and the next day. Sister Germana recommends it as is, or if you want to amaze your guests served with icing sugar and cream, or custard. My children had seconds, so I can't tell you if it would have been better the next day. The amount I'm leaving you is suitable for a 22 to 24 cm cake tin. All you have to do is try it.
Ingredients:
- a kg of apples
- 120 g of sugar
- 180 g of Ruggeri Organic Arifa flour
- 2 eggs
- 6 tablespoons of milk
- the zest of a lemon
- half a sachet of yeast
To make Sister Germana's Apple Pie, start by peeling all the apples and cutting them into very thin slices. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the flour and continue mixing. Then add the yeast, milk and lemon zest. Mix well. Now add the sliced apples. Make sure you get a smooth mixture. Pour everything into a greased and floured cake tin. Level the mixture in the pan. Sprinkle with a few spoonfuls of sugar to taste (if you have brown sugar, even better). Bake at 180° for about 40 minutes. Your Sister Germana's Apple Pie is Ready!!
