The butter-free donut from "Pippicalzina" is
delicious in its simplicity . The addition of chocolate is optional, but the dough will still be delicious and special because
it is made with Ruggeri Spelta Farro Flour . This is a
versatile flour and an alternative to the usual soft wheat flour.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 200 g of sugar
- 200 ml of cooking cream (or mascarpone)
- 300 g of Ruggeri Spelt Flour
- a sachet of baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- zest of an orange
- 130 g milk chocolate (optional)
Procedure for the butter-free donut
Beat the eggs with the sugar until they are light and fluffy, then add the cream, the grated orange zest, the spelt flour with the salt and the baking powder. Gently incorporate everything into the mixture. Finally add the roughly chopped chocolate. Set aside a little, to add at the end.
Pour the mixture into the buttered and floured mold (use margarine if necessary). Add the remaining chocolate on top of the mixture and bake at 180° for about 40 minutes. Et voilà, the butter-free and spelt flour donut is ready!
