If you love shortbread and are looking for a special idea that will really amaze, here is the recipe for you: these delicious star-shaped cookies were made by Nunzia from @unapartenopeaaifornelli, who used Migliora® Dolci vanilla yeast to create them. Try them too and your table will sparkle… with goodness!
Ingredients:
- 500 g of 00 flour
- 200 g of butter
- 150 g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Migliora® Dolci
- Grated zest of 1 lemon
- 1 pinch of salt
Procedure:
- In a bowl, sift the flour and Migliora Dolci.
- Add the sugar, grated lemon zest and pinch of salt, mixing everything together.
- Add the cold butter cut into cubes and work the dough with your hands until you obtain a sandy mixture.
- Add the lightly beaten eggs and continue to work the dough until it forms a smooth ball.
- Wrap the dough in cling film and leave to rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Once the resting time has elapsed, take the dough out of the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured surface using a rolling pin.
- Using star, Christmas tree or other Christmas-shaped cookie cutters, cut out the cookies from the dough.
- Place the biscuits on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the biscuits are lightly golden.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool completely.
- Before serving, you can sprinkle the biscuits with icing sugar to decorate them.
